was founded with two goals:
Queen City Sake Fest was founded on two principles: building community and creating an accessible space to explore sake. As a non-profit event, we provide a welcoming environment where curious newcomers and seasoned experts alike can connect, taste, and grow their palates together.

Why “Queen City?”
We wanted to give a nod to Denver’s classic, old-school nickname. Since “Mile High” already belongs to a different famous Colorado industry, "Queen City" felt like the perfect fit for us old-school Sake lovers.
The Queen City Sake Fest crew consists of Katrina Schlom, & Allison Elliott, both alcohol industry folks who
really wanted to see a craft sake-focused festival happen in Denver.
After years of selling sake to liquor stores and restaurants, we decided it was time to bring the sake directly to the people in a fun and informative (possibly geeky) way. Our focus and passion is on sake education and tasting experiences.
Our mission is supported by our incredible network of breweries, importers, distributors, and great restaurants who are willing to help.
We have been blown away by Denver's enthusiastic response to our first two years, and are excited to bring even more to the table in year three.
